About Us
The Civic Hospital Neighbourhood Association (CHNA) is a volunteer, non-profit community group representing approximately 2000 households adjacent to the Civic campus of The Ottawa Hospital. Our predecessor, the Civic Hospital Homeowners Association was established in 1973 and the CHNA followed in 1982.
Our mission is to promote and protect the general interests and well being of the neighbourhood’s residents and to be an effective voice for the community on issues of general concern, such as traffic, safety, and planning and development.
We organize or support community meetings and social events, and communicate local news and information through newsletters, e-mail distributions, social media and our website.
