Our premier community event is entering its 9th year is a treat for young and old alike. Little ghouls & goblins had a fun-filled afternoon of pumpkin decorating, face painting, games & activities all free of charge! Halloween costumes for the kids are de rigueur; the judges’ favorites won a prize! A giant bouncy castle was on site thanks to STAN'S HVAC and a children's sing song entertainer. For the adult crowd, there was Bridgehead coffee David's Tea, hot chocolate, a MASSIVE bake sale and a free pumpkin courtesy of local realtor and platinum sponsor Susan Chell. New this year, Giant Tiger's mascot Friendly made a very special appearance! Proceeds from coffee/tea donations went to the Parkdale Food Centre.

nother barn burner of a year! Thanks to all for being flexible as we moved the event to the Sunday to avoid Saturday's cold and wet conditions. And what a great call that was! Sunday was a beautiful day and we likely had our best turn-out ever,
Hundreds of FREE pumpkins were given away by SUSAN CHELL and her team. Thanks so much!
Kids had a blast decorating pumpkins, getting sparkle tattoos, jumping in the bouncy castle, playing tug of war, listening to live music, and seeing a real Ottawa firetruck.
Adults and kids were also able to take in our bakesale. Thank you to all the baking volunteers and to Bridgehead for the coffee and hot chocolate. Delish!
Thanks also to all the kids that dressed up. Awesome!
See you next year

Another great year of Pumpkins in the Park. The weather was iffy, but it cleared up and we had our best turn-out ever. 200 large pumpkins, as well as 3 sizes of decorating pumpkins and apples galore were all used up! Thank you to SUSAN CHELL and her team for the free pumpkins and apples.
Our bake sale was also extremely successful. Thank you to all the volunteers and everyone who took time out and made the very yummy treats and to Bridgehead for the coffee and hot chocolate. We really needed it to warm up! The fire truck was a huge attraction and we will try to have again next year! Even the adults got to enjoy some fun with the tug of war rope! The kids costumes were amazing this year and despite the cold day, we even had a swimmer come out in trunks, goggles and a towel. Until next year. 2015CHNA's 5th Annual Pumpkins in the Park event and it continues to grow!
