Capital Clean Up
Our community takes part in the Capital Clean Up event to keep our Fairmont, Reid, Ev Tremblay Parks and the Ruskin berm on the East side of Hutchison Ave clean and safe for all of us to use. Bring your rakes, gloves and energy and we'll provide the bags an refreshments.

A week delay due to the flooding in the region but we managed to find some sunshine and willing volunteers to make our green spaces look great! Thanks to EVERYONE!

Great day for spiffing up our green spaces this year. With Reid Park under construction, folks focused on Ev. Tremblay, Fairmont and Ruskin.
We saw lots of new faces helping at Ev. Tremblay which was much appreciated as this park is under ever increasing usage and it was getting mighty messy thanks to nearby construction materials migrating over to this green space. This was the 4th year that nearby residents worked to clean the Ruskin Park berm..fabulous, as always! |

The nation's capital was been deluged by a historic level of water. As the park grounds were soaked beyond capacity , the cleanup at Fairmont and Ev. Tremblay was cancelled. Once the weather improved, local business Titus, volunteered and gave Ev Trembaly a good spiff, and the City sent workers to clean up Fairmont. THANK YOU!
The wonderful residents living near Ruskin Park were able to proceed with their clean and spent a few hours pulling out mountains of dead bush, the always wonderful-to-find shipping crates, too many plastic coffee lids and lots of thin cellophane cigarette package wraps. However, as this is the 3 year cleaning the wooden berm, the annual effort is clearly making a difference and the berm looks much much better!. Thanks to ALL and a special thanks to David Kidston for organizing the day. |

BIG THANKS to all that came out to get our local parks ready for the season. All four parks (Reid, Fairmont, Ev Tremblay and Ruskin (the wooded berm around the parking lot at 45 Ruskin) now look fantastic!
Special thanks to Bridgehead for the delicious coffee they donated and to to DiRienzo for 3 trays of amazing sandwiches to fuel the work. See you next year!! |

A HUGE thank you to all who came out on May 3rd to make the 6th annual Clean Our Parks Event up a great success. It was a gorgeous, hot day and we filled more leaf bags than ever before! Thanks once again to Bridgehead coffee (Fairmont at Wellington) for donating coffee for all THREE parks and also to DiRienzo (Beech St.) for donating 3 trays of their famous sandwiches. We have such a fantastic community!

Thank you to all the volunteers who took part in our annual Clean our Parks Event on Saturday May 10! Thanks to moving it a week out, the weather couldn't have been better and everyone had a great time. A big thank you goes out to Bridgehead and Di Rienzo's for their generous donations of coffee and sandwiches. Thanks also to the 32nd Scouts for their early cleanup at Fairmont Park.
