Parks Committee Spring Bazaar and Plant Sale 2013

The Parks Committee fundraiser this year is a Spring Bazaar and Plant Sale in support of Reid Park. The sale is located on Parkdale Ave at Orrin in the Civic Hospital neighbourhood. Mark your calendar for Saturday May 4th from 9 am to 12 noon, rain or shine.

Our wide range of perennials include many homegrown species that provide seasonal habitat for pollinators, hosts for caterpillars, butterfly nectar sources and native songbird seed caches. All the plants are split from large hardy clumps nurtured over several years by neighbourhood gardeners. An extra bonus this year includes a number of exotic water garden plants with blooming pedigrees for the pond enthusiast.

But that's not all.....this year we've added something for everyone...especially if you're looking for a Mother's Day gift! Credit cards accepted for purchases over $50.
  • One-of-a-kind jewelry designs of hand crafted necklaces and earrings
  • Gourmet marmalades, jellies, lemon curd
  • Cupcakes, shortbread, pound cake, chocolate-covered pretzels, gluten-free cookies
  • Healthy dog and cat treats too!
  • Complimentary coffee provided by Bridgehead

For directions or more information email us parks@chnaottawa.ca. We hope to see you there!
