Civic Hospital Neighbourhood Watch Program
Further to the CHNA Annual General Meeting on November 6, 2013 the Association’s Safety Committee would like to renew its activity in the Neighborhood Watch Program in our area. It is intended that this initiative will coincide with a planned canvass by Ottawa Police Services for new Neighborhood Watch volunteers as part of a crime prevention activity during the Holiday Season when gift giving of high dollar items and absence from homes can result in increased burglaries.
In order to achieve the required numbers of members to make the Program a success, the CHNA would now like to encourage interested persons to submit their applications. This can be done via the Registration Form which may reach you by mail from the Ottawa Police Services (OPS). You will also find a copy attached below.

Persons interested in working with Neighborhood Watch can do so either as a Member, a Block Captain or a Watch Coordinator. Information on the Program including roles and responsibilities of participants (Page 2-3) is embedded in the Member Guide below.
Essentially the program involves looking out for your neighbors’ homes and notifying the Police and CHNA Safety Committee when criminal activity is witnessed or suspected. The Safety Committee is also interested in keeping an eye on Scamming and other fraudulent activity which has increased in our area during the last year.

- Email it to both wellingtoncpc@gmail.com and safety@chnaottawa.ca with "ATTN: Neighbourhood Watch" as the subject
- Drop it off at the Community Police Center (CPC) office at 1064 Wellington St.
